Our desire is to live a life on mission in our city. Our city has over 200,000 people and over 95% of them are not involved in an evangelical church or do not have a relationship with Jesus. We are involved in our local schools, local nursing homes, and desire to plant churches in all the Richmond neighbourhoods.
One of our great ministries is at Matthew McNair Secondary School. We have been able to provide clothing, food, school supplies and other resources to students and families in need. We regularly provide coffee and donuts for the teachers and staff. Our pastor coaches basketball at the school. Their student jazz band plays every year at our Christmas Banquet. We are deeply thankful for the relationship we have with this school and as many of their administration and staff have said, "we are glad you are our neighbours."
Also, check out River Community Church. It is a church plant in Steveston. Brad and Rhonda Forlow are planting this church. We desire to support, encourage and pray for them.
We desire to be a church that is for the Kingdom of God. There are many areas throughout British Columbia that do not have a strong Gospel presence. We want to be on mission and help support churches in our province and in our country. We have had the opportunity to help a church restart in West Kelowna, BC. Our hope and prayer is to continue to support Potter's House Community Church and prayerfully begin to seek another church plant or church revitalization to support.
In 2014 and 2015 our church has had the opportunity to help Home of Grace Orphange and be involved in training leaders and planting churches in unreached villages. A trip is planned for August 4-12, 2017. Check out this video of the trip from 2015 and pray about your involvement next year. More information will be coming soon.
We also are prayerfully searching for the next people group in the world to engage.
